Date: 2007-07-24 02:02 am (UTC)i just got this temp gig with a company that likes me and is willing to bring me on for $18.75/hr full time with bennies. the most any pastry job could possibly offer for someone who has *zero* experience in a kitchen is $10. do the math. and the fact that they are literally JUST across the water and i see that hotel every day from where i park and pine for that job........therein lies the irony.

Date: 2007-07-24 04:20 pm (UTC)Your dream is important to you and speaking as a person who had to give that up, it isn't all that great. I miss the kitchen more and more everyday. I don't go back to Paragon as much as I should because I will want to go back to working in the kitchen... and I just can't afford that right now.
Hotel Soffitel called YOU! That's pertty amazing.
