it's been 2006 entries...

i started this journal on June 6 of 2001. it's been 6 years now. i've brought friends in, i've kicked friends out, some have left on their own, some just look occasionally, some are obsessed, some i never hear from at all.

what is the reason you're here?

how did you find me?

was i in a community that you were in and you somehow found me fascinating?

what is it that keeps you around?

have i met you in real life yet? would you want to meet me?

why did you decide i would be a good person to read or be read by? (isn't it funny that the same letters can make two different words and yet still look the same?)

if i went completely out of my mind, would you stop reading my journal?

are you just straight up done with the crap that i write here so you're not going to read it anymore?

all these questions have gone through my head many times. hopefully someone will read and respond. no one knows.

Dorie got me onto LJ when I moved to AZ as a way to keep in touch. That was... um, March of 2001, which means that I too have had this journal for 6 years.

WOW.

I think that you found me here, didn't you? Or did Jim nudge one of us to let us know that the other was here? I don't really recall!

I'm still here 'cause you haven't tossed me yet?
The real answer is 'cause you're a lovely human person and for all of my distance, you're important to me, Janie. Forgive me, please, if I'm darned lousy about saying/showing it.

No, I wouldn't stop reading if you "lost your mind".
Sometimes people who break from the agreed-upon reality we all share have very interesting insights and points of view!

I'm not straight up done. Not by a long shot. You're stuck w/ me, Lady - until you toss me out.
