i'm about to THROW this damn thing out the window!

it's a good thing it was free.

so...let's catch you up...

a co-worker of mine got a new iPhone and gave her old SLVR to me that has iTunes on it.

i got a MicroSD for it and synched it with my sister's computer. it has 100 songs on it. i NOW want to take those same 100 songs that i "purchased" with my gift card and put it on *my* computer in my room and be able to synch with this computer as well. well apparently you can't do that with iTunes. can someone please explain this to me? i *paid* for the songs and now i should be able to put them on any computer that i want to! what's up with that?!?!?! i even had to install upgrades to windows so that i could get iTunes on my computer in the first place.

HELLO? Mac-aholics? some answers please? i wont be able to fix it until i come back, but at least i know there will be some answers when i get back home.

Can you use WinAmp? If you purchase music that's DRM free- like eMusic, you can full control over where you bring your music. If you're forced to use iTunes and want to rip your CDs you can change the ripping preferences under iTunes. MP3s are easy to move around. Apples m4p format is system specific so you're forced to play by Apple's rules.

i dont know?

the phone that i have i got for free and it has iTunes on it. the problem that i'm having is that i already have like 100 songs on the phone, but i can't synch to any other computer except my sister's, and she's not always home. i wanted to install iTunes on *my* computer in my room which i did, but had to do a bunch of win updates to get it done, and then be able to synch my phone to *that* version of iTunes. when i went to link it, it said it was going to erase all the songs i already had...ummm not gonna happen, says i! so tonight i'm going to attempt iDump and then see what happens.

God, iTunes is such a pain in the goddamn ass.

yes but when one receives a free phone with said pain in the goddamn ass programme, one takes it for the team (so to speak) and gets on with the day. ^_^
