i wish that i could tell the people that i'm interested in...that i'm interested. why do i always have to make the first move?

Because you're interested, and there's no magical Disney pixie dust that makes the other person interested until they are informed of such or pick up on your body language and what not...

I am personally quite dense when it comes to subtleties and body language, so a swift kick in the pants doesn't hurt...
