those are beautiful! And you did those with a magnifying glass, rather than a wood burning tool?

Wow

thats so cool! i once tried wood burning with a wood burning tool (aka sodering iron). i made a messy mess. so i know just how hard it can be. and thats with the right tools! i'm so beyond impressed. wondering if you could do a demo at faire (ask the blacksmiths?) and possibly sell some one of a kind works of art.

p.s. the roses are my favorite. *hint hint wink wink nudge* :D

that would have been cool to see. hmmm if she is doing Further confusion, maybe she can talk to Geo and do a demo and sell some art. something in the genre like paw prints or horseshoes or dog bones maybe.

i would have to attempt to find everything and then be sure i had enough sunglasses to trade them out as the sun gets hotter and higher in the sky. i haven't done it for years. i still have bunches of wood somewhere around here.

yes that would have been in 2001. i was asked to do the demo by amichan. she was in charge of programming that year. i also attempted to sell my product in the art show and it did miserably. i got barely enough for the work i put into it.

thinking a good random sideline business for you would be making truffles in wooden decorated boxes. if you get a good enough deal on the wooden boxes it could eventually become a trademark profitable thing. food baskets would look good with something like that.

oooohhh good call. especially since those boxes sometimes go for like 99c at michaels. i'll have to see if i can find 'em again.

secondary thought. make boxes of asst samples with cool art on them and your signature. add your info, attach your resume. take your samples to places you want to work. it shows your multi talented. they'd be crazy to deny you a job.

You did that with a magnifying glass? Wow. That's amazing.

yep yep. the higher the magnification, the thinner the line you can make with the sun beam. i have as high as 15 for the most thin lines. it's all about the angle you use as well as the magnification. and you can't do it for too long or your eyes will be damaged.

i'm glad you like 'em.
