plans for this holiday season:
Nov. 12th, 2007 10:49 amso last year i made gingerbread loaves. everyone loved them. i'm thinking about making them again. if i *did* make them, would anyone be interested in buying them? i was thinking about making the smaller ones for $2 and the mid sized ones for $5. if anyone was interested in anything bigger than the $5 size, i would make them special but they would prolly be closer to $10.
i'm also thinking about making a gingerbread house. more like a mansion. i want to have fun with tisa this year and i think that she's at the stage where she's ready to do something more involved. i've been given the go-ahead to make it on the day after thanksgiving. so i think that i'll make the dough ahead of time and bake it on that friday. still not sure how it's going to work out, but we'll have fun. so i was thinking...if it turns out ok then we can make smaller ones and give them out as gifts or sell them so that others can give them as gifts. not sure how much those would cost, but i'm sure after i do the first one i will know better.
for thanksgiving, i'm making 2 pumpkin pies, and prolly an apple pie. one of the guys that comes over for thanksgiving dinner doesn't like pumpkin, so we usually get an apple. maybe i'll have my mom buy an apple pie so we dont have the oven going forever. **shrugs** we'll see how the day goes.
on another note...i had a thought...if i can get the back room cleaned up and stable...we might be able to do the decorating parts down there. it's gonna take forever, and it might not even get done, but it's a good thought.
