so this one time...at disneyland...
i think that
supersniffles and
besspeacetime were with me but i'm not 100% sure joy was with us that time. we were having a good time just walking through the park and decided to go on pirates...as we were want to do often. we got on the ride and had known throughout the day that the ride had been having issues. so we went through the whole yo ho thing...through the fire at will thing...as we came to the we wants the redhead thing...we stopped. like the whole ride stopped. oh trust me...the soundtrack was still going... the animatronix were still going...however the boats were not moving. so we waited. and waited. and then i made a phone call. from inside the ride. i called disney information direct line.
"hello...yes my name is J9 and i'm inside the ride pirates of the caribbean....what's that?...yes...i'm calling from inside the ride.... no it's not moving....yes it's stuck...would there be a time when someone will come and get us off the ride?... yes...i'm calling from inside the ride...(no she didn't ask who my service provider was) yes all of the boats have stopped and i can now tell you exactly the timing of when the guy shoots his gun and it hits the first sign and then the second sign....yes please ask someone to come get us off the ride...yes thank you...and you have a wonderful day yourself...good bye."
so at that point they had already turned off the soundtrack, but no one had made an announcement that they were in the process of getting us off the ride, and they couldn't turn off the gunshot part of the ride. suddenly we realized we were being pulled...backwards in our boats. there were three men pulling the boats back along the ride to where we could get off and go through "never never land". all in all it was an interesting ride, and a story i LOVE to recount.
i miss disneyland
