OK so check this out...
Feb. 28th, 2007 09:05 pmremember when i posted about the mixer and how wonderful my friends are...well check this...
my niece tisa (she's 4 for those of you who don't know) and i made chocolate chip cookies on tuesday night. we used the santa claus mixed chips from the holiday season since that's all i had available. there were about 28 cookies left after we nibbled on some. wednesday was show 'n' tell day at her pre-school, so she brought the cookies. she told them that she and auntie (that's me) made them in the new mixer. then they had the cookies for snack time. she came home on wednesday night all jumpy and giddy yelling "Auntie Auntie...all the kids LOVED your cookies!!! they said they were FANTASTIC!!! they want you to make MORE!!!" (yes she's really only 4, but she's grown up around much older adults and therefore has a bigger vocabulary than her cohorts in crime.) i nearly cried. she said to me "we need to start now so we have more than one for each kid."
i love my niece
i love my friends
i love my new mixer
and i hope that something good will come out of it...even more than just this little event.
