So I went on my annual trek to Disneyland this year, and I've just gotten back (more on the trip later). On the drive home yesterday, I was periodically checking in with mom. By the time I got to gilroy she told me that she and teresa (mostly teresa) had a surprise for me and could I get home sooner. I told her I would do my best to go faster and still be safe. When I finally got home, she called me and said I had to come up right away. So when I got to the top of the stairs, teresa was sitting there waiting for me. She jumped in my arms and gave me the biggest hugs ever! Then she took my hand and told me to cover my eyes. She brought me into the kitchen where she and nana had made all sorts of chocolate cupcakes. Teresa had frosted them and put decorations on them. She even put the spirally candles on them. She wanted to light them, and I suggested to do it tomorrow (meaning today). Mom said they had been working on it all night and forgot to go to gymnastics. I was *that* important. I'm sure my sister is gonna raise hell because now she'll have to schedule a make up class, but at that moment...*i* was important. It made me feel great. Then I got to open the cards and the gift bag. I got a pirate pencil, a mini water bottle (you know, for my tea when I leave), and she put her pumpkin trophy in there too. She said she won first place for her pumpkin at the birthday party. Such a perfect gift an auntie could ever ask for.

And now, I need to find myself some food. Back to the grind again
