i filled in the boxes and made my choices. my sister didn't realize prop 4 was on the ballot. she hadn't heard anything about it. everyone's been talking about prop 8, 7, 10, and 2...i've only seen one TV ad for 4. planned parenthood suggests to vote NO. i would recommend the same thing. when i showed it to my sister she asked me why i would do that. i gave her the scenario of the young girl who was abused and raped by a family member...would you really want her father to have a say as to if she's allowed to terminate? then she understood. i tried to explain that to my mother and she only sort of got it. it's not something that we discuss with my mother. it's always been just me and my sister when we discuss stuff like that. it's so hard because mom is so much older and from a different generation that didn't talk about abortions or incest or anything like that. i know that she's trying to understand and be more progressive even in her older age...it's just difficult for her.

and now for something completely related.........................
Repost this please, if you like, and ask others to do so also...

A "No" vote on CA Proposition 8 will annul no marriages.

A "Yes" vote on CA Proposition 8 will annul over 10,000 marriages (many with kids.)

Which vote is REALLY "protecting marriage"?

(NOTE: Each and every single vote WILL count. There is no "electoral college" for referendums.)

repost this in your journal...if you want...i will not tell you what to do, i will only suggest that you think out your choices.
